Sandra W. Brandt

Sandra Brandt has worked in Democratic Politics across Virginia.  Currently, she lives in Virginia Beach and has lived and worked in the Hampton Roads area all her life.  She has a vast background working in both the political and the non-profit community.  She has been the Chief Executive Officer of STEP-UP, Incorporated, a non-profit corporation involved in training, placing and providing a multitude of supported services to returning citizens. Currently, Sandra is the Chief of Staff to Delegate Nancy Guy. Why I'm Running

I’m running for DNC Member because I’ve got a proven record of electing Democrats up and down the ballot, and I’ve got what it takes to help carry Virginia’s Blue Wave across the country in the 2020 Election!

The Next Generation of Leadership

I want to work with Young Democrats to empower new, younger leaders in the party to chart the next era of the Democratic Party. Young people should not be an afterthought, they should always have a seat at the table.

COVID-19 Campaign Programs

For the foreseeable future, COVID-19 is here to stay. We need to seek funding to develop new, innovative approaches for Democratic campaigns, up and down the ballot, to do voter outreach during the pandemic.

Empower Local Committees

Campaigns come and go, but local committees are the backbone of the Democratic Party throughout the country. We need to invest in their growth and equip them with the resources to elect Democrats.

Growth of State Party Caucuses & Outreach

Secure continued funding for state parties to bring together all our voting groups such as the Progressives, rural, suburban, the young and experienced, disabled, veterans, blacks, Asians, Hispanics, and Labor to work to organize our grassroots voters and win elections.

Advocate for the Commonwealth

I will proudly represent Virginia on DNC Committees that will provide information and best practices that have worked well in other states and bring it back to Virginia. I will also advocate for the unique needs of the Democratic Party of Virginia.

I'm proud to be supported by Democrats from across the Commonwealth!
